I am Skip August. I have been monitoring Scouts-L for awhile and
find it very helpful. I am Scoutmaster of Troop 13, Cubmaster of Pack 109,
and Founder and Council Rep for Computer Explorer Post 111; all in Chippewa
My involvement with Troop 13 started a few years ago with about 5
boys. Now we are 40+ and growing fast, almost too fast if there is such a
One of our biggest problems right now is or inefficiency in
packing, cleaning, unpacking, etc. To this end I am considering rigging up
a trailer as a permanent home for much of or gear, especially cooking gear.
I invision this trailer opening up to serve as separate patrol cooking
areas since most of our camping doesn't require hiking to sites. Those
outings can be handled like we do today.
I am wondering if anyone out there has plans for such a
"Chuckwagon" or know where I can obtain plans or ideas. I have seen these
setups before, and they look like just the perfect solution to our dilemma.
It would also free up space in our crowded storage room. Thank you in
advance for any help.
