The woodbadge beads and neckerchief are an international sign of leader
in all WOSM member associations (and possibly in WAGGGS members, too);
I am sure you have seen many of them in Denmark, too.
There is lots of folklore surrounding it. All leaders which have
received it become members of the "Gilwell 1st" Scout Group, sited in
Gilwell Park (the international center of leader formation).
You receive two wooden beads modeled after a Zulu Chief necklace, a
pink-ish neckerchief with a small retctangle with the McLaren clan
Tartan (the family which donated the Gilwell Park to world scouting),
and a certificate.
Requirements vary with country.
