Hello friends all over the world!
This is a message from Finland.
The demand for international telematics within FinlandUs
K-12 community is growing fast.
Now, to meet that need we're building FREENET FINLAND, FNF,
an affiliate in the FreeNet family. As models for FNF we have
used the different FreeNets and other nets mainly in
FNF is designed for the K-12 system in Finland
including elementary and high school level, senior
high schools and vocational schools and special
education for the disabled children.
The official opening ceremony will take place
on Saturday, Oct 23rd but the system will be ready
for use before that.
We have two reguests to you:
First, we would be very happy to receive short
welcoming messages from you for the opening Saturday.
The messages will be printed and posted on a wall
to show everybody the Global Village that we have
become a part of and the people we've met via email.
Please, send us a line or two to the addresses
given at the end of this message.
Second, FNF will become only as good as we make it. To
succeed we need a lot of foreign friends. So if
you feel interested in working with Finnish
students, teachers and parents or in just finding out
what FNF is all about, please, let us know.
Send us a short introductory message of yourself/
yourselves and we'll place it in FNF. FNF users
are bound to contact you and start out great
projects and make lots of new friends on-line.
Thank you *very much* in advance! We're looking
forward to hearing from you where ever you are!

and FreeNet Finland
