When my son recently completed his Eagle project, he kept a WORKING
notebook. In the notebook, he kept copies of things like the
letter from the guy he was coordinating the project with,
maps of the Nature area, a calander of the schedules dates
for work and a list of names of the people who worked and the
times etc. and PICTURES of before and after!
As the project was nearly completed he typed the SUMMARY information
onto the FORMAL workbook pages, and indicated a ref to the working
notebook for details. He made two copies of BOTH the working and
FORMAL project books. NOTE, that second copy was needed as SOME
ONE on the troop committe LOST the first copy with the APPROVAL
signatures!!! Always KEEP at least one extra copy of EVERYTHING!!!
I had thought about SCANNING the form into a PC tool, but the above
method worked OK, and my son learned to USE an OLD manual typewriter
to copy the info onto the FORMAL copy of the forms, slow but effective!
He also learned to appreciate having a WORD processor for homework etc.!
scouting since 57, eagle dad since 93!
