Steve, the ONLY adult position that anyone under 21 may hold is as an ASM
(assistant scoutmaster). I believe that he also MAY NOT DRIVE SCOUTS to
any activites. He may drive equipment but not scouts. This is for insurance
problems, therefore only over 21 may drive scouts. This does not apply to
any siblings (IMHO), or at least that is what I have done in the past.
This also brings up the problem of any scouts under 18 with a drivers
license. What can they do? Same thing applies. They may not drive any scouts,
except siblings, to activities. I also applied it to driving to the
troop meeting hall; siblings only.
Hope this helped.
