OOps...before I could edit the file that Jay Bemis sent, I'd hit the
"forward" key instead....sorry folks....
Jay asked my advice on sending the list some songs he'd picked up and
I told him to go on and send them seeing how we'd had songs on the
list before.... Some of them are pretty old and some of them I
remembered singing at campfire programs back then but I don't think I
would today...but they're here....
As for Aaron Johnathan (otherwise known as "Grey Poopin'...some kind
of joke shared between him, his older brother and sister and
Jessiann!), he's going to be fine. He had his 'noids taken out along
with the extremely small tubes placed in his ears yesterday at around
noontime. He did great in the preop part, until it came time for him
to give some of his blood to be tested....and to give again...and
finally, with the needle one last time. Each time, Jessiann had to
leave because the screaming would be so loud and his tears too much.
At one point, he just yelled to his mother and to me "Tell them to
hurry put the tubes in the ears!"
He went to the operating room in style..Jessiann told him to look up
and count the number of lights before he got downstairs, but he sat
straight up, wanting to see where he was going. Once in the operating
room, his mother (I left that to her to do this time since she could
not be there for Drew's operation two years back) went with him and
stayed until he was out cold.
The operation lasted 45 minutes, and the doctor came out to talk to
all three of us (he was really surprised to see THREE parents there,
not just the "momma and the daddy"). He stated the operation went
fine, that Aaron would be in a little pain over the next few days and
that he should be back to eating solids in about a couple of days. he
made prescriptions for pain relievers and antibiotics. He is also
going to give Aaron's mom the results from the allergy testing they
did with (all of) that blood.
Aaron woke up before we left, long enough to tell me "Hi" and to want
his nurse to "take this all off" (his IV, which had to stay on a
little while longer. It was hard for him to rest confortably with his
right hand wrapped up and needled). He went back to sleep and we left
shortly after that.
Thanks for all of your prayers and well-wishes!!!
