Howdy to all on Scouts-L. I have been "listening" for several months, but
just found out
how to send something to you (Thanks, Mike Walton), so wanted to introduce
myself. I am a
Scoutmaster of Troop 127 in Colorado Springs, CO (Pike Peak Council). I have
Both Cub and Boy Scout Wood Badge ( a Bear both times) staffed a course
Transatlantic Council. I also work at the District and Council Levels. I
have been at this
game about 16 years as a Scout and Scouter, with a break when Scouting went a
far-out for me (1972-1982) My two oldest boys are Eagle Scouts and the other
at it again after a period of inactivity. My wife is just as active, having
Scoutmaster, Cubmaster, Den Leader and District Training Chairman. She is
Activities Chairman in Silvercloud District, and an Assistant Scoutmaster.
She has been to
Boy Scout Wood Badge (an Eagle).
Had a question from our new DE...she wanted to know if we should have some
recognition for the folks in our District that hit the "Century" mark in
Friends of Scouting.
We haven't done anything like this in our Council and wanted to know what
done. Any thoughts out there?
See you around the Campfire,
