I find it interesting that several members of this group find
it necessary to apologise for postings on homosexuals in scouting.
And a suspect its from a mis-labeling of the discussion. A
more proper label might be
How do you pick adult leadership without bigotry, bias,
prejudges, descrimination, or information.
What biases, prejudges or other criteria is necessary
for good adult leadership?
Adult leadership is the key to any scouting program. With active,
caring adults, providing the resources for an active scout program,
boys seem to appear out the wood work to participate, run and
lead the program. Any thoughtful discourse that can help in
the process of finding, selecting, recruiting and judging adult
leadership should be fair game for a scouting discussion group.
Of course, I also keep a bit bucket -) at the side of my terminal
were much of what is posted ends up and I fully expect other
individuals to do the same.
all opinions mentioned above are my own. nobody else would want them.
