If the pack's charter expires first, the key is to pay the transfer
fee, which will extend the boy's registration to the TROOP's charter
expiration date, then when his original Boy's Life subscription expiration date
(2 months after the PACK's charter expires) is approaching, pay for a short
extension. If the pack's charter ends AFTER the troop's, DONT pay for
BOYS LIFE at re-registration, wait until the boy's subscription ends. As
has been said before, having ALL units recharter in the same month avoids

If you meant NEVER instead of NOW, yesit may be a problem. It is
suggested that ALL MB Counselors fill out the applicaion form, and be
Someone also asked if any registered scouter can sign MB cards. In
this council (Greater Cleveland), YES, provided you fill out a short Merit
Badge Counselors application form, which is sent to the District
Advancement Committee. The KEY is this form is required for ALL MB
Counselors, in order to know who is signing the cards, and ALL must be
registered in some capacity. When the District rechartered recently, they
sent a form to everyone asking for a fee from only those who were not
registered elsewhere and were not registering as just a MB counselor. (i.e.
from people only registering for the District Committee, Commissioners staff,
etc.) They also had a place to state where you were already registered if
you were a Multi.
