A question was raised at roundtable last night re the Den Chief patch vs
the Den Chief cord. My guess was that a den chief may choose to wear
Patch would be worn on left sleeve as badge of office. Cords would be
worn on left shoulder. But, does he get to wear both at the same time.
Seems to me that a den chief might also hold another troop office so he
would wear the badge for that office and wear the cords to be recognized
as a den chief. But, if he held no other office would he wear both??
I didn't find anything in my copy of the insignia guide to clarify this.
Does anyone have an 'official' statement?
BTW, we discouraged wearing cords in summer camp except ceremonial
occasions. They were a pain in the arm in the woods!
