Now that everyone is back from Jambo and has finished decompressing
(read jealosy here-- I didn't make it this time, but WAIT til '97),
it's time for one of those trivial questions which this list is SO
good at answering.
Situation: Pack recharters in January. Kids all ante up $7 for
1 year registration. Webelos get Arrow of Light at Blue and Gold,
cross over to troop, pay $1 transfer fee. In April, Troop recharters.
Now, do the kids who just paid their $7 in January have to ante up
AGAIN for the troop just 2-3 months later?? We can't 'drop' them from
the pack in January 'cause then they wouldn't be 'legal' and covered
by insurance, etc for a couple of months. ((I have a feeling that the
expert answer is going to deal with the difference between an individual
registration fee and the group recharter fee)) Sure, we're only talking
about a few $$ per kid difference, but you know how parents are when we
keep coming back for more money.
(Don't say ask the council registrar.... we're writing a book about her
