Paul (not Fred):
Hey! Glad to see you made it back...it was nice meeting you
too and your dad. 18 square knots is not that hard of a feat.
Considering that if you stay active in Scouting, you will already be
able to wear 4 of them (AOL, Eagle, Youth Religious Emblem, and
possibly an adult Religious Emblem). Most Scouters, within their
career as either a volunteer or as a professional, will earn about 4
more square knots for training and different assorted other things.
Ther rest of them I just happened to be at the right time, in the
right place, and doing the right job.
But it does make me look like Ollie North doesn't it *laugh*
At Philmont, when I taught a while back, one of the guys came over to
me after one of the sessions and said, (you have to remember that the
Iran Contra trials were going on) "Are you related to Oliver North?
You sure look it with the short hair, no mustache, the military
bearing, and all of those awards!!"
I replied that "Ollie and I are distant cousins" *laugh*
Here's looking forward to seeing you again at NOAC next year.
Keep moving FORWARD!
