Administrative (Wow -- what a weekend)

Just a few note to the group:
As I stated last week, we were down over the weekend to install a UPS
system to the machine room. Well ... we got more than we barganed for!
When we restored power to the building, a circuit breaker exploded and
caused a major fire in the electrical panel that feeds our Science
Building. This occurred about noon last Saturday. By noon on Sunday,
the data center was up and running on an emergency generator supplying
power and ac to our machine room. It appears the repairs will take
the entire week and will require the system to come down for several hours
this weekend. In the mean time, we have lights to the building, but no
ac (kind of hot this time of year in Texas!).
I am going on vacation for the next week (Lake City, CO if your interested)
and then to San Antonio next Friday where my Father will receive the
Doctor of the Year award (from Texas). I will be dialing in on occasion
to check things out. I'm looking forward to the Jambo reports from our
Scouts-L friends at the Jamboree.
Finally I am receiving quite a few bounced email lately. My policy is to
set the DIGEST option first (this cuts the bounced mail down to 1 per day)
for several days and then deleting the id from the listserv if the problem
continues. If you got the DIGEST set by me, this is the case.
Oh yes ... I am playing with a gopher server on my unix workstation and have
set up the SCOUTS-L digest on it. If you would like to access it, the
id is "unix1.is.tcu.edu". Any feedback is appreciated.
Thats it for now.
