Ah yes...our son, George, still has his 89 Jambo thermos and it has
gotten a lot of use by all members of the family in the past 4 years.
I "had" been wondering (and kind of hoping since it is such a nice item)
that he'd get one this time when he arrived with his troop. So...it
is nice to know ahead of time that he won't get one there and he should
bring his own...and he will bring one because he did have one run-in
with heat exhaustion at the 89 Jambo.
**Aside thought -- I wonder if anyone has considered how many more
cases of heat exhaustion might be encountered without the thermos
bottles; and which is cheaper...the price of the thermos bottles or
the collective price of physicians, medical personnel, and the drugs
needed to fix the condition???**
Anyway, if there are no Thermos bottles (and when George brought his
home in 89, we figured it was some corporate donation which had
probably provided it to BSA and the Jambo)...does anyone have a list
of the items (not just the Regional patches, the usual neckerchiefs, etc.)
which will be distributed to the members of the Jambo troops????
