I think I am going to see if I can find a patch for
"remedial" training! Don't get me wrong, I think
periodic training UPDATES are a good thing for all
people working with youth, to include teachers etc.
I just attended a 'MANDATORY' youth protection training
session to keep my training current at the Univ of scouting!
Then I get a notice that I have to VIEW the newest VIdeo
version before I could register for Jambo staff!
It seems like everytime you turn arround, the rules
have changed! Thats why for a while, a bunch of us
out casts wore a position patch that said only a DAD!
Of course the rules change for that too, but at least
they don't make you go back as often for re-training!
I used to have two buttons I wore to various places & events.
One read, you can't fire me, I'm a volunteer! The other one
read Don't ask me, I'm only a temp. My most recent favorite:
THE BUCK STARTS HERE! But some one took my RED jacket that had
them, my old OA jacket patch, NESA patch, & 57 Jambo Jacket patch.
(YES OF COURSE I know regulations say you can only wear one!)
I also had my Philomont BULL and ASR Loon patch of the front!
ALONG with my buttons :(
I wonder how many Square feet the staff will have at the NJ?
HEY? You want any WORLD University Games Hats? Pins? T-shirts?
