Cub to Boy Scouts

The Cubs in my den, having just returned from Webelos summer camp, are
beginning to discuss just which troop they would like to join this spring. As
their Webelos leader, I realize that we owe the troop from our chartered
organization a very close look. I explained to the Cubs that it is their
decision, but that I would like to see them join a troop as a group, and not
split-up (most have been together since Tigers).
It is my hope that this statement would stimulate some dialogue on several
issues: pros and cons of support of the chartered institution (this may
answer itself), what the Webelos leader and Cubs should look for as they search
for a troop, words of wisdom for steering the Cubs, if necessary -- a poor
decision may be forthcoming.
