Here in Mexico this Indaba things work a little complicated, as
Boy Scouts and Girl Guides work separatedly.
Scouts have events called Indaba, and they are large gatherings
of young adult leaders (some of them not very young). I understand
that some times Indaba includes Rovers, but don't take me for sure on
this one. The main purpose is the national or regional reunion of
leaders, for information exchange and, of course, to get to know each
In the Girl Guides we don't have such thing as an Indaba, but we
have a National Campout for Leaders. It takes place every two years,
and the objectives are mainly the same as in the Indaba. It usually
takes place along with the National Campout for Rangers, so actually
you have all the adult membership in the same campsite.
Hope it helps.
