Scouting Experience: currently Committee Chairman and Unit Commisioner, I have
placed many hats on my head and patches on my sleeve. I achieved
Eagle rank in 1974 and I am a Vigil Member of the OA. I most enjoy
helping our council with the 'Brownsea' Junior Leadership course. I
am one of those who have had current membership since 2nd Grade, I
won't tell you when that was but the school has been condemed.
Professional Experience: I am a board test programmer for Hewlett Packard and
do UNIX system administration on the side.
Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. I was told three things about
WoodBadge: number 1) Be Prepared, Number 2) There are two parts, the week, or
set of weekends in my case, and the ticket. The ticket is an agreement you
will make after counseling from the staff and your local council. Oh, yeah,
Number 3) see number 1. Just talking about WB makes me excited.
WoodBadge should IMHO not be required. It would be a much more
enjoyable experiance if everyone there wanted to be there. I put Woodbadge
off for about 15 Years. When I went I was ready.
