I am relatively new to the list so first a short
introduction, I have been involved in scouting for about
7 years, started as an assistant cubmaster, went to cubmaster,
them assistant scoutmaster, now am a committee chair for
my sons troop. I am working on Woodbadge,
(and working ...and working :) )
and have had training on all the positions I have held.
and I have 2 sons in scouting
And now my question...
When a boy is working on a merit badge, how long does
he have to finish it?
I have heard 2 answers to this question, the first being
that he must finish within a year of when he starts working on
it. In other words, if he starts a badge in June, he must
finish by the next June.
The second answer I heard is that they have until they
turn 18 no matter when they start.
I have never really had any problem with getting one done
within a year, so this is not an earth shaking question,
but it was something that came up at our meeting tonight and
got me curious.
thanks for any help
