I have said this before, and it comes as close as I get to being pithy:
I refuse to wear a "Trained" patch. If one can't tell that I am
trained by my abilities, they can by the Training Award and Key knots.
Also, I'm still worked up in a snit because of the demise of the highly
desirable fully embroidered position patches. If National was losing
money selling these patches, why didn't they raise the price? I heard that
a bunch of volunteers wanted the trained patches back, however I haven't
met any of these volunteers. How does everybody else feel about this?
I'm curious - if you wish to vote, but don't want to clutter up the list
with a simple yea or nay, please send your vote to the bitnet or internet
address that is listed at the top of this note. A week from now I will
post the tabulated results.
Is there an address at National to send insignia comments too? I would
appreciate it if someone would post it, and would appreciate it more if
those with strong opinions would let National know how we feel. I'm not
asking to get rid of the trained patch (as long as I don't have to wear it),
I just want the fully embroidered mylar patches back!
