You're right about the scouts remembering the people in the
community who were a part of the Eagle presentation. I remember my
my Silver Award presentation much better than my Eagle presentation.
Why? The commanding general at Ft. Monmouth presented the Silver Award.
My Eagle was presented at a ordinary Court of Awards by the post
For the younger scouters out there, the explorer Silver Award was
the predecessor to the achievement award. A Court of Awards was
the exploring version of a court of honor.
