OK, I see a general thread of a Question in the exchange on Woodbadge.
WHO DOES coordinate all the VOLUNTEER training for BSA at the council
and/or district level? IS it a PAID Pro staff? Or should the information
be available AND PROMOTED by the District level training chairman?
Who has the JOB to get this information to the people that need training?
(The district chairman as well?) In our district, the Distrcit chairman,
and the training chairman are BOTH volunteers, and are MY first line
of information, supported by round table information, and the COUNCIL
NEWs letter. Our council coopertates with other councils for WOOdbadge,
all will advertize other council WB, which is not run the same time as
our council. HOWever, I have never seen the WB programs at Philmont
listed in the newletter, BUT, I have recieved invitations and/or
announcements of information on training at PHilmont as a seperate
item, to include CUB And SCOUT leader training etc., with programs
available for the entire family, even NON Scouts!
