I mentioned on a post dirrect to the orginator of the question that
in our district, a report by the DE to the Chartered Organization
leaders of ROUND table delinqunets got a few more units to send a rep!
Again, not a positive answer, but it did get a few more units to RT.
Also, it came to me to promote TRAINING and the various training
AWARDS that leaders may earn, besides the WONDERFUL handouts and
even prizes at RT. WE even have a RT picnic at the end of the year,
at a CAMP of course! I don't have any of the awards requirements
at hand, but don't several of the UNIT level awards for both Scouts
and CUB leadership, require the "Candidate" to attend a minimum number
of roundtables while serving the time in postition? If not part of
the OFFICIAL requirements, I know I was "required" buy our training
committee to attend a certain percent of roundtables for three years
to get my little knots! Maybe you can promote these awards to get
more people to seek to earn the awards, get more people to round
table, get more people trained, and get better programs as a result?
Seems logical to me. . . but I have been wrong before.
