Thanks, you and your sister may be able to help.
My son Charles George Cerveny, born 6-29-68, has been missing for the past
two years. Neither my ex nor I can locate him. He is an Eagle and Vigil
Scout, and after receiving his B.S. in Microbiology from Colorado State,
disappeared with his then fiance, cutting us all off as we were not "rich
enough" for him.
Since my heart condition does threatens my life, and my other son (who lives
with me) agrees, I feel compelled to once more try to at least locate my
son and let him know I love him and miss him.
I have one contact in the Atlanta area, and he tells me that there is no
phone listing for my son's name, but that his girl's family name has
What I need is someone to:
1. Contact the Atlanta Area Council office and check to see if he is
registered in that council, or surrounding councils. He also served on
staff at Philmont the summer of 1986.
2. Someone to call the "Van Landinham" names in the phone book, looking
for either "Dana(his girl) or Chuck)". If there is any resistance to the
call, he is probably known by that person, and that would even help me out.
Chuck has a terminal kidney disease, and although I feel he is ok at this
point, it would help me alot to know for sure. I do not wish to draw him
back into my life if he does not wish it, but I feel his disappearance
contributed greatly to my heart attack. I raised my boys alone for the
past 15 years, with an abusive ex stalking us all.
I just want to be sure he is ok, and we have reason to believe he is
somewhere in Georgia, since his girl was to try to find work as an air
controller down there.
My ex has failed in his search for our son - but I know if God's willing,
my Scouting friends will help me accomplish finding out if he is indeed ok.
That is all I want, honestly.
Anything you can do would be appreciated. I don't know how to check out
his social security, etc.
Thanks, Don, for your offer. Every bit helps some.
