}bbs or one of the other internet systems (like FREENET) to gain access.
Unless the BBS is directly connected to the Internet, it won't work without
help From: the SYSOP of the gateway. Most gateways move the orignal From:
address into the text and put their address in the From: location. This way any
replies or bounced mail will come back to it. I know of no way of telling the
listserver to ignore the From: address and use what I know is the correct
address. For example, to reach my system at home you would need the address
Rick.Clements@p16.f54.n105.z1.fidonet.org. But, that's not the address the
listserver would see if I tried to subscribe from home.
It isn't imposible. You can get an account on the bridge to the Internet.
Or, you can ask the sysop to have their system forward mail to you to your
