Ok, you guys! I am back. I feel pretty tired and weak, but my heart is
just about fixed!
With the support of friends, family, and most of all God, I have now
reached 80% of my heart function instead of the 60% I went into my
angioplasty with, and I have a potential of about 90-95% if all continues
to go well.
I am amazed! Amazed that I could endure such pain, such fear; amazed that
there are so many people who really seem to care; amazed that the odds
worked for me and in my favor for once; and amazed what can be done.
I have no more pain.
I am not real sure how you all got the word, but thanks to Allan at the
University of Illinois for talking with my Scoutmaster (I am the Committee
Chair) and passing along the info. My Scoutmaster did contact me first
before giving out the info. All went well. It all happened too fast to
let you all know.
Thanks to to my professor friend here at Northwestern for updating the info
for you all.
I have received numerous cards and e-mail messages, and I am one person who
needed to know I made some kind of difference to this world. Thank you one
an all -- that IS what Scouting is about.
