Our council (Prairielands) merged from to other councils a year ago, and we
still have the two OA lodges, so it can be done.
What would would happen if you called the SE's bluff? If he failed to sign
two lodges' charters, wouldn't that make the people at National take
notice? I imagine that it would make the SE look pretty bad. Is there
anybody out there that is nationally connected with OA that knows what
I know someone who sits on the National OA committee; if you want to try
standing your ground and the SE refuses to sign your charter, forward all
relevant FACTS to me, and I will bring it to his attention. Be sure you
include all of the SE's arguments; I'm not implying that you're misrepresenting
this situation, but I've seen plenty of SE's get condemned for their actions
because volunteers don't understand or choose to ignore all of the facts.
