Ben, I don't believe this kind of 'forced management' can work unless
everyone keeps quiet about it. if it's brought out in the open what the
professionals are trying to do, they'll get put in their place.
And in this case, I believe their place is to let the youth decide. Period.
I don't think there is a way to fight this problem while in a vacuum, in
your own Council. You've got to get outside help, either from NAtional OA,
or from National BSA, since both ought to be concerned with what's being
done to the youth of your Lodge.
Has SEs position been brought to the attention of the Lodge Chief? to the
LEC? etc. What is the Lodge Advisor doing (is that you?) about all this?
