Overall, I have found the information from this list pretty AMAZING!
In that, in the short time this list has been active, I have found
out more about changes in regulations, updates in policy etc., death
of KEY figures, and even the resignation of Ben Love!
The amazing part is that when I call the council, often I get the
same usefull reply, "WE'll have to get back to you on that!". IS
it that the information does not get to councils, or that council
dosn't want the volunteers to really KNOW what is current policy?
Again, I know that almost every council is perfect, but there seems
to be a few excpections, NOT OURS of course! I am still waiting
for the CLIP art files, to work on a new camp promotions flyer for
the OA to use in the missionary work to promote our SUMMER CAMP.
Someone "SAID" they had them some place! What a way to run a
multi million dollar operation! BUT, they have already revised
the policy to prohibite leaders from trading patches with scouts
at the '93 National Jamboree! What are the real priorities?
Does anyone have a CLUE?
I should be happy, we just got back from a great campout UNDER
18 inches of wet snow! BUT, when I saw the status of the camp,
first I was stunned, then I just went back to helping our scouts
have some FUN!! Since I was there, I would have FUN.(period)
