>Paul ---- This makes TOTAL sense to me! Otherwise, if a TIGER moves to
CUBS with out 12 FULL months, he would never get a 1 with ORANGE, and he
could LOSE up to 22 months of "credit" towards future stars. Same when a
WEB moves to Scouts, he could lose the credit for up to 22 months service,
depending on when and how each unit COUNTS it's own service time etc.
And that is what still happens in OUR troop. My son is ONE MB away from
his Eagle, has been to 2 Summer camps, plus a High adventure canoe TREK,
and has a 1 year scout service pin! He won't even wear it! It makes NO
As Steve noted in a seperate POST, and I agree 1000 percent, this is one
of those FUZZY areas, wear common sense should apply. If you get too
wrapped up in the fine details of the rules and the regs, of such things
as service stars, you are missing the major point of the program! What
good does it do to present a recognition that a scout would be embarressed
to wear? A one year service pin at an Eagle BOR? Give him a break!
BUT be warned!! There are PATCH POLICE at the National Jambos now!!!!
