Subject: political buttons
Over the weekend, I attended the county fair with my sister and her kids.
Going through the exhibit hall (where you sign up for all the neat things),
I encountered a man in full BSA "dress" uniform. On his right pocket, was
a button for one of the major presidential tickets. I was rather upset!
My son Bobby was a few steps behind me, and caught up to ask if I had seen
the guy with the button. He asked if that was correct. I told him no, and
we then debated whether I should tell the gentleman that it is not proper
to wear political buttons while in Scout uniform.
I did not go back and tell the man, but it has bothered me ever since.
Should I have done so?
