I would go through the other resources before I would call them. Not that
I don't want you to go through the expense of a long-distance call, but
because the first two questions that will come out of their mouths (rightfully
so, too) are "Did you call your local Council office??" and "What Council
are you calling from??"
Basically, they want to make sure that you have given them the chance to serve
you before they help....and yes, they are "obligated" to let the local Council
know that you called them about the tapes (which could be embarrasing if the
local Council *has* the item(s) you're looking for)!!
However, here is the address and the phone number:
National Audiovisual Service--
National Office, BSA
1325 West Walnut Hill Lane
Irving, TX 75015-2079
Besides, they are going to charge you $12-15 per tape, when you can get them
for FREE from the other sources. And yes, the BSA DOES authorize (and
encourages) copying of the tapes so that the widest possible distribution
of the training and coaching materials occurs! It does no good when the
tapes are only in the hands of the DE or the training chair/commissioner.
They need to be in the hands of ALL that trains and coaches new leaders!
