The religious award is a church award recognized by the BSA. It is NOT
a Cub Scout award. Boys who earned a religious award while a Cub
Scout may wear the knot on their uniform (Cub or Boy Scout). The
boy wears a "device" on the knot to show when the religious award
was earned. There are Cub Scout, Webelos, Boy Scout, and
Venture/Explorer devices. The protestant awards correspond roughly
God and Me Tigers and Wolves
God and Family Bears and Webelos
God and Church Boy Scouts
God and Service Older Boy Scouts, Explorers, Venture Scouts.
Since eligibility for the religious awards is based on age and the Cub
group based on grade in school, these cannot be exact.
The boy may wear only one knot, but may have multiple devices on the knot.
The devices are available from your local service center.
