I read with interest the discussion about face paint and costume
in the OA even though I am not a member. So it was with some suprise
that when I sat down to plan this months roundtable for cub scout leaders
I find that amongst the suggested activities for the boys is the making
"Pligrim" and "Indian" costumes for thanks giving reenactments. Is this
activity any less disrespectful to Native Americans than the OA ceromonies?
Should we encourage what is after all a rather out dated and simplistic
view of Native Americans? What is a Roundtable Leader to do? Tell the
leaders to ignore the helps!!!!!
More than a Little confused
