I believe the BSA does not have any kind of BBS of its own, although there
is some computer communication with councils for charter lists, etc. it does
not take E-mail form.
Also, I don't believe there is any 'Official BSA' representation on this or
any other scouting BBS but there may be some individuals who monitor it.
Sean Cox, National OA Chief, is active on the fidonet scouting Echo.
I will go out on a limb and suggest that BSA national is run by a group of
'elder statesmen' who just aren't 'into' using computers as much as many of
us are. I just finished working with the WOA-TV group at the recent NOAC
and with our people spread out over 8 states in the midwest, we could NOT
have organized it without e-mail and fax machines! We had better
communication than the rest of NOAC.
