Just talked to H. Olsen who is the Woodbadge exec at Central Region. We
had a great conversation. Here is how "rumors" begin! It is a wonder!
The facts are:
1. There will be 24 den flags being retained for use at future C.S. Woodbadge
2. The letters have already gone out to past course directors asking for
suggestions as to who should be contacted about receiving the individual
den flags for each course.
3. There will be NO destruction of any flags.
So -- once again, we have volunteers that do not communicate properly or
completely, I am sure, and what your friend heard is NOT true. No flags
are going to be destroyed. If you would like to, contact your permanent
den leader and have that person contact your course cubmaster and make the
request for your den flag. The B.S. Woodbadge courses do not keep all of
them forever either.
Hope this helped! I am sending this answer to the list too as the rumors
may have spread!
