I am in scouting for ME, or I wouldn't be so fanatical about it. I know this
sounds selfish, but please consider what I get out of scouting before
I have dedicated my life to service. Scouting gives me the opportunity to
serve people of almost all ages. It gives me training and tools to use for
this betterment of others. It improves me as a spiritual being and a servant
Inasasmuch as scouting helps me fullfill a deeply-seated spritual need,
my work in scouting is for me. (Or is it for the boys?)
Incidently, I joined a church for the same reason. I didn't join to
participate in the ceremony or pageantry, but to study, serve and associate
with others that worhip by keeping the Spirit with them at all times.
