Does someone have a part number for the train the trainer syllabus?
It would be nice to see a copy. Our district has not don a TTT in years.
Our neighboring district did a TTT for CUB trainers only about two
years ago. It would be nice to re-institute it at the local
level if we can get the materials. If we start it again, I would like
to have it for Boy Scout and Explorer trainers as well as Cub Scout
Re: Wood Badge
Only we Buffalos truly can enjoy playing in a "Buffalo Waller."
Of course we need you Beavers to dam up the water so we can play. :-)
It has been my observation that we get a much greater commitment out
of adults who have taken Wood Badge than those who haven't. Most
stay as adult volunteers for years after completing Wood Badge.
Of course, it could be only the most committed attend Wood Badge
I think the two year participation requirement should be enforced more
than it has been. The only exception should be new DEs who I understand
must take Wood Badge as soon as possible after NEI.
There were several participants in SC-426 who were upper management
at Phillips Petroleum. The company paid their fees [because of the
good management training received.] Also, the Tulsa county Sheriff's
department had a large group. I assume for the same reasons.
