That is correct, and the BS course is "specifically written for the
Scoutmaster" hence the name "Scoutmasters' Fundamentals." According to
Green Bar Bill, (said directly to me and in a public speech) "Woodbadge was
meant to be for SMs only and it needs to get back that way. With no women
allowed!" However, we now have females SMs (wonder how Green Bar feels
about that -- I KNOW!).
There is NO requirement of personal engraved invitations, by the way for BS
woodbadge. It is QUITE proper to print the form in your newsletter, pass
out at roundtables and training courses, and ABOVE ALL, get to the SMs.
National STILL only counts the top unit leader (SM in this case) for it's
training stats! A very sore point for me!
