Same here (Switzerland) and, as far as I remember, in the US. The swiss
warrant card (which states the career you made in scouting) is handed
out upon request only. In my pack, only one cub has it. For myself, I never
bothered to get one for myself.
Why should we want an ID? As a scout, I've never been in a situation
where it was necessary for me to prove that, yes, I am a scout. And I
cant' imagine a situation where a warrant card with a normal (governmental)
ID wouldn't be sufficient.
