Mary has the option to: attend summer tennis camp (her dad is helping out with
this) -- "I don't really like tennis anymore" she said last night; attend
ballet classes every afternoon (sigh, I don't know, I'm kinda tired of dancing
right now-- she says) (*please picture the appropriate pose while all of this
is being said;---- reclining on a pillow on the floor, arm thrown across the
forehead, legs on the stereo speaker, TV blaring, and LOTS of sighs*).
We have a pool in the backyard (fairly good-sized inground pool), and belong to
a local athletic club which has indoor/outdoor pools, tennis courts, mini-golf
course, etc.,etc., etc.
poor thing --- she has NOTHING to do... Anyway, Jon Eidson is getting me info
on the camp up in the Ft Worth area. I'm checking in to the Corpus stuff also.
Just saw a neat article in a woman's mag about "Camp Home". Seems they couldn't
afford to go away for vacation/camp one year, so the night before their week's
vacation began, the parents decorated the house like a camp. (the kids were
asleep already). The next morning they were greeted to "Camp Home" and spent
the week doing "camp-like" activities. Sounds good to me! might try to do
something like that for her and a few of her friends.
