I thought liquid fuels could be used after appropriate training?
What about Philont? Or other LOW impact areas like Adirondack
Scout reservation? Areas where NOT GROUND fires are permitted?
You can't realisticly BACK PACK charcoal for a week? I have
not yet seen it to be sure, but I (mabe wrong again) thought
that various council taught and certified scouts in liquid
fuels, even to include PROPANE. Propane can be dangerous
if not handled correctly or connections made properly or lanterns
lite correctly. And PROPANE is not a good fuel for very cold
weather or high altitudes, as I understand, but like I said,
I could be wrong again.
