I am not a missionary seeking to convert or otherwise save anyone....
To the best of my knowledge, the BSA does not express any desire to "save"
anyone either. They seek to start from a common point of view, not to
recruit members from the fringes of society.
The BSA is not a "church."
People who do not accept a "divine" (substitute a more generic word if you
can) authority, are not ultimately accountable to anyone but themselves. All
legal systems are rooted in the moral values of their societies. If you do
not share these values, why should people who do share them trust you to do
the right thing? [I am not referring to you with the "you" here: it is a
non-specific "you."] The gays who have presented their cases here are NOT
people that I would want in a unit for many reasons besides the fact that
they happen to be gay.
