YUK. That didn't quote well....
Just a comment, maybe for change, or maybe they are pulling your leg.
I can't believe that it costs 25K (computeresse?) to fund a BITNET
line. Buena Vists is on the Internet (where everyone really shoud be)
and I think it costs about $1000 a month for the phone line. That is
probably higher speed than your BITnet link and the Internet gives you
A LOT more!!!!
Either things are wierd where you are at, or they are lumping a lot
into the 25k figure. If you want sales pitch info for the internet,
let me know. I helped convince a small school with 1000 students that
it was worth getting on. The Kentucky National Guard is on B.T.W.

Yeah... if anyone STILL wants to stay connected to the BITNET side...
Once you have access to Internet you can purchase an account for
a MEASLY $30 a YEAR from Carnegie Mellon University. (That is MY
Node. Its an excellent investment. You can telnet from anywhere)
AND even today you can purchase Internet access if you REALLY have no
other way to access it. Ask me for details or read BOARDWATCH magazine.
