Yes, this is a typical menu at our Council Camp (Beaumont), except
on Parent's night (Thursday) we go one better - Steak & Baked Potato.
We have 3 meal plans:
Heater Stack - Dining Hall food brought to the troop site
in Thermos type Pots.
COOK YOUR OWN. The camp has a small food store with staples
fresh fruit & veggies, meat, etc.
My troop, which is sponsored by a Conservative Jewish Congregation,
not only cooks all our own food, but keeps Kosher doing so.
Our food is ALWAYS better than the dining hall food, and the boys
never have any problem earning Cooking MB. We try to style the
menu similar to the camp's, when possible.
Remember, food costs do make up an important part of the cost of
