The MORMONS (LDS) did have a term for those that we NOT of their FAITH.
When I was in the Army in Germany, my C.O. (comander) was MORMON. He
and his wife welcomed us into thier home and to the Church for SOCIAL
events. This was a Mormon church, in Germany, his wife was a Swiss
Mormon, they had meet at a church function! The gave us a copy of
The BOOK of Mormon, etc. Is was a very interresting experience.
Many of the Members were German! For a churh started in Palmyria NY!
WOW, pretty internantional! I just wish I could remember the TERM
they used for NON believers, or NON Mormons. It was not a tern like
"outcasts" or "INFIDELS" or anything, and we always were welcomed at
the church functions. I do not know IF that Church in Frankfort,
(now) Germany, had a Scout troop. But, I ran into an OLD scout budy
and soon was recruited as an Advisor for a CO-ED Explorer unit, in 1972!
But THAT is a story of its' own merit.
Don Izard, still scouting
