Buying the white T-shirts in bulk are the cheapest (I can give you a
source, but look in your local yellow pages you may find a company in New
York with much better prices than the company I use in Phoenix). In
General you can get the T-shirts for about $3.00 each.
If you make the T-shirts a color or dark color add more.
Our Troop uses RED (A dark color costing about 3.35 per adult size T-shirt)
and we use a Emerald Green ink and the shirts look great. For Cub Day Camp
we have used different color shirts sor cubs, and leaders. I have a light
yellow Cub day camp T-shirt from 1985 with blue Ink and it still looks
greate (a little worn, but great).
The thing about doing this yourself is that you are not limited by usual

patrols, then wash the master, let it dry and use it again with another
THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT YOU HAVE LOTS OF FLEXIBILITY DOING THINGS THIS WAY.
You should take advantage of that. (By the way the company I order
T-shirts from does not require you to order even dozens in any size which
is great for smaller troops or packs).
One last note, Each new member of our troop is presented a T-shirt when he
joins (extras are for sale with small mark up $4 for an adult size. They
make great class B uniforms and the parents do not have to worry about the
expensive scout shirts going up in smoke!
