We have had Den Guides for some time now - these positions can be filled by
p.s. our tiger cub program is copied after the international scouting
programs all over the world, (as well as Camp Fire), Candadian Beavers,
and many more. In fact, the committee which researched, tested, etc. the
tiger program had a wealth of youngster programs to model our tigers after,
and when the tiger program first began, it was for 2nd graders not first.
The age was lowered to 1st grade when we began our 5 year program which
eventually moved us into the current two year Webelos program. That
program was established in a 5 year, 5 step program from national, which
1st lowered the tiget age group to 1st grade, and then established two
years 2nd and 3rd grade as wolf cubs, and as those groups moved up their
grades, the double group eventually reached the Webelos level and the two
year program was established and in place.
Am still waiting for someone at national to lover tigers to Kindergarten
and explain how we work scouting with children who can not read - - I for
one would not be surprised, but would object strongly.
