U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND BSA

The application requires that you state if you are a U.S. citizen or not.
My wife is a Colombian and when we moved to Tucson, the Troop Committee
Chairman (also Distict commissionier) went berserk when she learned that my
wife was not a U.S. Citizen. She seemed to think that she could not get
registered. I told her that was silly, SHE IS REGISTERED. As far as I
know the registration when through without a hitch. (I know because I took
over as CC a few months latter.) But my wife is not Scoutmaster, she is a
committee member. I am not aware of any rules in this area. But I have
never tried to register a non-U.S. Citizen as a BSA Scoutmaster.
Personally, I think it is a plot to get the Military parents envolved (but
don't they spend time away doing things like Desert Storm?).
I understand the two deep rule to be two adults. No sex is mention in the
literature that was passed out here in Catalina Council. Since both my
wife and I are registered, we have never been challenged when we went with
