Hi, First I would like to thank all those who sent suggestions for
sources of prayers and prayers for out training session. The session
was very successful and I think we were able to expand the horizons
of some of the scouters with the hand out we prepared from the

It seems to me that B.P. had a fairly clear idea that Scouting
should NOT be a Christian organization but should embrace
anyone of any faith. In his writings he shows considerable
admiration for the ethics and ideas of non-western societies.
Before it was "modernized" one of the Scout Laws in Britain was
"A Scout is a brother to every other Scout no matter to what country
class or creed the other may belong"
This law has always for me summed up the very essence of Scouting
